Looking for Community Members for CLEANAIR Project

August 17, 2023

We are passing the information below from the Mystic River Watershed Association:

The Mystic River Watershed Association was funded by the EPA to pursue a three-year air quality study: Community-led Improvement of Air Quality and Health in the Lower Mystic (CLEANAIR).

We are currently seeking applications for the Community Advisory Board (CAB) of this project. If you live or work in Everett, Malden, Charlestown, or East Boston, please consider filling out our CAB application (deadline August 31st, application also available in Arabic, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese,  Spanish, and Vietnamese.)

As a CAB member, you will:

  • Learn about air quality and public health.
  • Provide input on study related activities including survey design, the deployment of air monitoring systems, and policy recommendations.
  • Engage members of the four communities in understanding their concerns and needs regarding transportation-related air pollution.

Please see the flyers here for more information and share this opportunity with your networks! If you are sending this on, here is a short blurb you can use, “Do you care about CLEAN AIR? The Community-Led Improvement of Air Quality and Health in the Lower Mystic (CLEANAIR) study is looking for 12 community advisory board (CAB) members to help improve air quality and health in Everett, Malden, Charlestown, and East Boston!”
