MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS!
MODERN ENVIRONMENTAL POLITICS
Please join FCNY for a virtual discussion on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00 PM with Charlestown resident Nathaniel Stinnett on a subject he lives and breathes, voter turnout.
Nathaniel is the Founder & Executive Director of the Environmental Voter Project, a non-partisan nonprofit that uses data analytics and behavioral science to mobilize environmentalists to vote. Named one of five global “climate visionaries” by The New York Times in 2018 and dubbed “The Voting Guru” by Grist magazine, Nathaniel is a highly sought after speaker on cutting-edge campaign techniques and the behavioral science behind getting people to vote. Prior to founding the Environmental Voter Project, Nathaniel held a variety of senior leadership and campaign manager positions on U.S. Senate, Congressional, state, and mayoral campaigns, and he sits on the Board of Advisors for MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative.
While working on political campaigns, Nathaniel discovered that environmentalists aren’t voting as much as one would expect. He also discovered that recent advances in data analytics and behavioral science offer hope for 2020 and beyond. With fresh data from recent elections and mobilization experiments, the Environmental Voter Project uses a cutting-edge approach to boost environmental voter turnout and impact policy at the local, state, and federal level. Please join us for this timely talk! Please email [email protected] for the zoom meeting information.
REMINDER: EARLY VOTING IN PERSON AND DROP OFF FOR MAIL-IN BALLOTS IS BEING HELD AT THE HARVARD KENT SCHOOL FOR CHARLESTOWN RESIDENTS ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 25TH FROM NOON TO 8PM!
